Seoul, Korea, September 6, 2022 - Hankook & Company Energy Solution (ES) Business Headquarters will exhibit a wide range of its Hankook brand battery products in hall 4.1 E51 at the Automechanika Frankfurt, from September 13 to 17. Furthermore, Hankook & Company ES Deutschland GmbH will be established in October, to serve as the Europe Distribution Center (EDC) and supply Hankook batteries to the European market.

Automechanika Frankfurt is the largest auto parts and services exhibition in Germany. It features automotive parts products, new technology introduction-oriented exhibitions, and is regarded as a world leading trading fair. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was canceled in 2020, and held online in 2021. This year, Automechanika Frankfurt is expecting 2,800 exhibitors from 70 countries from 9 exhibition halls.

Hankook & Company ES Business Headquarters plans to showcase the latest of its lead-acid battery technologies. Hankook has a wide portfolio of batteries with Absorbent Glass Mat Battery (AGM), Enhanced Flooded Battery (EFB), and Maintenance Free (MF) technologies to provide the best value for a wide array of automotive vehicles. At Automechanika Frankfurt, Hankook’s AGM Battery and EFB Battery for Start Stop vehicles, MF Battery for Passenger cars and Commercial vehicles, AGM Battery and MF Battery for Marine and RV are to be displayed.

By showcasing its representative technologies at Automechanika Frankfurt, the company aims to expand its battery business and to continue its qualitative and quantitative growth. Moreover, the participation in this event is meaningful as it offers the chance to promote the availability of Hankook brand batteries to the entire European market. In October, the company plans to complete the establishment of Hankook & Company ES Deutschland GmbH, to serve as the Europe Distribution Center (EDC), to focus on supplying the European market with its battery products

“Hankook & Company ES Business Headquarters aims to become a ‘Smart Energy Solution Provider’, a company who pioneers the future energy era beyond a lead-acid battery producer. We are excited to be a part of the event as the offline exhibition was suspended for long due to the pandemic. We are truly looking forward to showcasing our battery products and exchanging ideas with visitors and people in related industries.” says Jongseon Ahn, COO of Hankook & Company.

Since the launch of MF battery in 1982, Hankook & Company ES Business Headquarters has continued to strengthen its R&D. In 2005, the company was the first in Korea to have launched the first AGM battery for the Idle Stop & Go system. Hankook & Company’s battery serves approximately 450 clients across 100 countries through its 4 global sales bases located in the US and Europe, 3 international and domestic production facilities, and its R&D center.
